At his residence in Sioux Falls, Dak., on Sunday, May 4th, 1890, occurred the death of M.E. Donovan, son of Edward Donovan, of this place.

The news of his death was a great shock to this friends and relatives here, as none were aware that he was sick. Deceased was born at East Dubuque, Illinois, and was about thirty-three years of age. He came to Elkader with his parents, but went west some twelve years since.

He leaves a wife, an aged father and three sisters to mourn his death. He funeral took place at Sheldon, Iowa, on Tuesday, this week.

Edward Donovan and daughter Anna went to Sheldon, Monday evening, to attend the funeral of Michael Donovan, whose death is noted elsewhere in this issue.
