The saddest duty we have to perform is that of announcing the death of Philip Hansel, of Mallory township, which occurred on Monday, December 18th. He was 62 years of age, and had lived in this township between 30 and 40 years, being one of earliest settlers. He leaves a wife and nine grown children to mourn the loss of a kind husband and father. A more extended notice will be given in our next letter.
