Elkader Register, Fri., 23 June 1882.

Died- On last Sabbath morning, at the residence of Mr. Charles Leibrock, Fanny Mayerl, aged 7 years and 9 months.

Fanny was the adopted daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leibrock, having been taken by them after the death of her mother, some 2 years ago. She was sick several weeks, and had the kindest care and attention, but the angel of death was relentless, and so she has gone to join the happy band on the "other shore." The funeral occurred at the Catholic church on Monday, Rev. Father Quigley officiating, and was very largely attended, the scholars of the Union Sabbath School, of which she was a member, attending in a body.

One less sail on life's broad river,
One heart's beating hushed forever,
One sweet voice to greet us never
Till we enter into rest.
