Elkader Register, Fri., 17 Nov. 1882. (Page actually gives the date as 10 Nov. 1882, but articles give later dates.) Littleport Letter column.
Mrs. Plagman, wife of Chris Plagman, near this place, died on the 10th inst., after a short sickness. She leaves seven children to mourn her loss.

Mrs. Charles Plagman, of Elk township, died on the 8th inst. The bereaved husband has the sympathy of a host of friends in his great loss.

Burial is in Immanual Lutheran cemetery, Elkport. DOD on gravestone is 11/8/1882
Her passing was noted by two different correspondents to the newspaper and appearing on two different newspaper dates.

And the six children listed above.The two newspaper accounts are confusing regarding dates and names, but this is the only Plagman/Plagmann family shown on the census for the newspaper reports given localities
