Strader, twins Albert & Alfred died 1885

Called Away
On Thursday, July 9th, occurred the death of Albert, and on Friday July 10th, occurred the death of Alfred, twin sons of Mr. and Mrs. J.N. Strader, of this place; aged 4 years and two months.

About two weeks ago Alfred was taken with diphtheria, and last week his little brother was taken with the same disease, and despite the careful attention of loving hands and medical attendance, they secumbed [sic] to the dread disease, and have gone to that land where sickness is not known.

They were buried on Friday and Saturday mornings in the east side cemetery. The afflicted parents will have the heartfelt sympathies of all our citizens in this their hour of sorrow.

We wish to return our heartfelt thanks to those kind neighbors and friends who assisted us during the sickness and death of our little boys. May God in his infinite mercy spare you all from such affliction.
