George, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Griess, died on Saturday last, of diphtheria croup, after a short sickness. He was first taken with diphtheria, which was followed by the fatal croup. The funeral occurred on Sunday, his remains being laid away to their final rest in the cemetery on the East side. Mr. and Mrs. Griess have the heartfelt sympathy of all in their affliction.
