Elkader Register, Fri., 13 May 1881. Elkport Locals column.

Died- At the home of his parents, in Mallory township, May 7th, 1881, of consumption, Elmus Herrington, aged 18 years. Elmus was a highly respected young man for his many good qualities. He had been sick for a number of months with consumption. He was buried near Osterdock on Monday, and the funeral was largely attended by friends of the deceased. His parents have the sympathy of many friends in their sad affliction.
