LuAnn Obershaw, 57, of Guttenberg, died Friday, Feb. 11, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque.

Visitation was Monday, Feb. 14, at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Guttenberg, and one hour before services at the church.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Feb. 15, at the United Methodist Church, Guttenberg, conducted by Rev. Neil Hofer.

Interment was at Guttenberg City Cemetery.

LuAnn was born the daughter of Bernard and Bernita (Moser) Leliefeld on Oct. 5, 1953, in Guttenberg.

LuAnn lived her entire life in the community of Guttenberg. She graduated from Guttenberg High School in 1971. She was united in marriage with Bruce Obershaw on Feb. 17, 1973, at the United Methodist Church in Guttenberg. This marriage brought them two children. For many years, LuAnn, together with her husband, owned and operated businesses in the auto repair industry. LuAnn was very active for many years with the Chamber of Commerce and was part of the team who started the tourist center in town. She was on various city council boards and was the secretary for the United Methodist Church for many years. LuAnn was very involved with community activities, but most of all she loved being a wife and mother.

LuAnn will be missed by her husband, Bruce; two children, Thomas and Shelley Obershaw; mother, Bernita Leliefeld; siblings, Dennis and James Leliefeld, Kathy Phelan, Kevin, Terry and Larry Leliefeld and many other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bernard.
