Christina Pierce, 41, of Guttenberg, died Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.
Visitation was from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg.
Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Guttenberg, conducted by Rev. Harold McMillin.
Interment was at Guttenberg City Cemetery. Casketbearers were Bud Voss, James Matt, Loras Spielbauer, Curt Pierce, Doug Pierce and Dave Garlow.
Christina Anette (Heins) Pierce was born the daughter of Milo and Ursula (Keilig) Heins, June 1, 1964, in Postville. She graduated from the Postville High School in 1982 and attended business and accounting school in Calmar. She was employed by the Clayton Ridge School in the dietary department. On June 8, 1991, she was united in marriage with Paul Pierce at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Postville.
Survivors include her father, Milo Heins of Postville, and mother, Ursula (Keilig) Heins of Benson, Ariz.; her husband Paul Pierce; one daughter, Heather Pierce and one son, Andrew Pierce, both at home; one sister, Angela (Kevin) Palma of Pixley, Calif.; three brothers, Michael (Lisa) Heins of Postville, David Heins of Lakewood, Colo., and Steffen (Jennifer) Heins of Minburn; and paternal grandmother, Irene Heins of Elkader.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Roland Heins.
