Elkader Register, Thur., 16 Oct. 1890.
A short time since we made mention of the fact that Henry F. Snedigar was very sick with typhoid fever at Council Bluffs, Iowa. We regret to state that the disease terminated with Henry's death, Sept. 28th, and his remains were taken to Iroquois, S.D., for burial.
The funeral occurred Tuesday, Sept. 30th.
The deceased was a son of the late Fielding Snedigar, of this place, and was born in Elkader, Feb. 10th, 1854, and consequently was 36 years, 9 months and 13 days of age at time of his death.
He leaves a family consisting of a wife and eight children - four girls and four boys - the youngest only ten months old, besides an aged mother, and brothers and sisters to mourn his untimely death.
Born and raised in Elkader, Henry was a general favorite with all who knew him, and his demise will be learned with regret.
