Monona- Melvin C. Schlitter, 59, died Monday at the Prairie du Chien, Wis., hospital following an illness.

Survivors include a son, Daniel of Dubuque; a daughter, Constance Allen of Dubuque; two brothers, Elmer of McGregor and Donald of Monona; five sisters, Marie Mount, Helen Mielke, Ethel Strelow and Edna Klotzbach, all of Monona, and Delores Owens of Grand Junction, Colo.; and three grandchildren.

Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Schultz's, where friends may call after 3 p.m. today. Burial: Monona City Cemetery.
