Farmersburg- David J. Kluth, 22, a farmer, of rural Farmersburg, died Sunday afternoon in a drowning accident near Clayton. (See story on page 3A."

Born July 2, 1960, at Prairie du Chien, Wis., he was a graduate of Central Community High School at Elkader. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Farmersburg, the St. Olaf Volunteer Fire Department and the Clayton County Snowbirds snowmobile club, and served as a 4-H leader.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa; a son, Joshua; his parents, John and Dorothy Kluth of Farmersburg; a sister, Diane of Spencer; and grandparents, Alice Kluth of Farmersburg and Mr. and Mrs. Helmuth Schutte of Postville.

Services: Wednesday, 2:30 p.m., St. John Lutheran Church. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Schultz', Monona. Burial: Farmersburg-Wagner Cemetery.
