Cedar Rapids- Mabel I. Engelhardt, 96, a resident of Cedar Rapids for 30 years, died Saturday at the home of her daughter, Bernice Waddell, 321 36th St. NE, following a long illness.
Born July 1, 1886, at Farmersburg, Iowa, she married Hugo Engelhardt. He died in 1920.
Survivors in addition to her daughter are one sister, Agnes Arveson of Sioux Falls, S.D.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories by Dr. John P. Woods of Westminster United Presbyterian Church. Burial: Farmersburg-Wagner Cemetery rural Clayton County at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Visitation: from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home and at the chapel after 9 a.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the Shriner's Crippled Children's Hospital, in care of El Kahir Temple, 123 Fifth St. SE, Cedar Rapids 52403.
Note: maiden name is from her husband, Hugo's obit.
