Stanley W. Schroeder died May 10 at Central Community Hospital in Elkader, at the age of 66.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 13, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Garnavillo with Rev. L. C. Urlaub officiating.

Burial was in the Garnavillo City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Chet Koth, Reid Schroeder, Dan Walther, Don Blume, Jerry Niehaus, and Verdeen Schlake.

Stanley William Schroeder was born May 23, 1918, at Garnavillo, the son of LeRoy and Lucile (Moellering) Schroeder. He married Leona Stickfort on June 26, 1941 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Garnavillo. Mr. Schroeder was a self-employed farmer.

He is survived by his wife, Leona; two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Sharon) Madson, Grand Junction, CO., and Susan Schroeder of Rockwell City; one son, Steve of St. Olaf; five grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Ray (Kathryn) Koth; and one brother, Rev. Kenneth Schroeder of Lombard, IL.
