Morrison, IL.- Owen Albert Kinsel DN, 90, died Saturday morning at the home of his daughter in Chadwick. He had been in failing health for seven months.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Bruce Brennaman officiating. Burial will be at Garnavillo, Iowa, with graveside services at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. Friends may visit the Reynolds Funeral Home Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday, with Masonic services at 8 p.m. A memorial has been established in his honor.
Dr. O. A. Kinsel was born April 11, 1892, at Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Mr. and Mrs. S. P. Kinsel. He was reared and educated at Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and at the Chicago School of Naprapathy. He married Adelia H. Meyer June 25, 1919, at Garnavillo, Iowa, and moved to Morrison in 1931, where they have resided for 42 years.
He was a member of the AF and AM Consistory and was a 32nd Degree Mason, at Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Eastern Star, Sportsman Club, Lions Club, of which he was one of the original founders and of which he had been secretary and treasurer for 14 years. He had been a Sunday school teacher for many years and was a member of the Harvester Class and the United Methodist Church. He had practiced as a Doctor of Naprapathy for 57 years, until his retirement at the age of 88.
Survivors include his widow, one son, Dr. Lorin Kinsel, Cable, Wis., and one daughter, Dr. Veryle K. Spencer, Chadwick, and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
