Elgin Echo, Wed., 17 May 1961.

James Mathews, age 73 years and five months, Farmersburg, died Wednesday evening at the General Hospital in Prairie du Chien, Wisc. Funeral services were held Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. John's Lutheran Church, Farmersburg. He is Mrs. Dora Lehman's brother. Mrs. D. E. Tinker, Postville, and Mrs. Lehman attended the funeral.
