Services for Oliver Filmore Johnson, 75, retired Wagner Township farmer, were held at the Norway Lutheran Church, rural St. Olaf, July 28, 1976. Burial was in the Norway Lutheran Cemetery. Pastor Robert Hendrickson officiated.

Johnson died of heart disease July 25, 1976, at Lutheran Hospital in Lacrosse, Wis. He had been in failing health for two years.

A son of John and Tillie Johnson, he was born on a Wagner Township farm, near St. Olaf, on March 6, 1901. He farmed in that community all his active days. He was educated in the public schools of Wagner Township and Northfield, Minn.

On August 15., 1923, he was married at Decorah to Lillian Olga Kjosa.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Hugh (Shirley) Largent, Lacrosse, Wis., one brother, Arthur Johnson, Elkader, and four sisters; Mrs. Irene Anderson, Miss Frances Johnson and Miss Ruth Johnson, all of Minneapolis, Minn., and Mrs. Helen Olson, Maynard, Iowa.

Besides his parents he was preceded by a son, John Oliver, in 1959, and by a sister, Johanna.

Pallbearers at his last rites were Don Dutka, Don Houg, Elmer Heiden, Harold Ihde, Ole Landsgard and Alvin Johnson.

Relatives from a distance who attended his funeral included: Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Largent, Lacrosse, Wis.; Mrs. Marilyn Johnson and Lisa, Garnavillo; Mrs. David Largent, Lacrosse, Wis.; Mrs. Helen Olson, Maynard, Mrs. Irene Anderson, Miss Frances Johnson and Miss Ruth Johnson, all of Minneapolis, Minn.
