Thomas Lloyd FUNK

Thomas Lloyd Funk, 78, of Edgewood, Iowa, died on Saturday, March 3, 2012, at the Edgewood Convalescent Home.

Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. March 07, 2012 at St. Mark Catholic Church - Edgewood, Iowa.

He was born on March 3, 1934, in Edgewood, Iowa, the son of Lloyd and Anna (Lucey) Funk.

He was raised and educated in the area, and graduated from Edgewood High School.

Tom was united in marriage to Marilyn Odell in 1957.

Together they farmed west of Edgewood. Tom also worked at the Edgewood Sale Barn. He became a resident at the Edgewood Convalescent Home in 2004.

Tom was a longtime member of St. Mark Catholic Church in Edgewood.

Survivors include five children, Steve (Heidi Mills) Funk of Edgewood, Julie (Gene) Miller of Dundee, Connie (Randy) South of Strawberry Point, Karen Perry of Oelwein, and Kevin (Teresa) Funk of Edgewood; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Anna Funk; his wife, Marilyn, in 1989; a daughter, Nancy Funk; three brothers, John, Vincent and Richard; and an infant sister.
