Elgin Echo, Thur., 4 Oct. 1934.

Gwendolyn Oelke died at Farmersburg, Friday, Sept. 21, following a short illness due to ruptured appendix. An operation was performed at once at the Elkader hospital but her case was too serious from the start. She was 18 years of age.

Note: Gwendolyn Oelke is buried in the Farmersburg-Wagner Cemetery.
