Died - At her home in East Elkport Sept 27th, 1887, of old age, Mrs. Elmina Taft, wife of George Taft, deceased (who was buried April 1882).
Mrs. Taft was 71 years old, was born in Vermont and been a faithful member of the Baptist church for fifty-two years. She leaves a family of four children, two sons and two daughters to mourn her loss. The well known Dr. O.D. Taft being her son.
The funeral occurred Thursday September 29th, Rev. E.L. McNamee, of Colesburg conducted the services, her remains were interred in the Garber Cemetery near East Elkport.
