Mr. & Mrs. David Lowe have lost their youngest child, aged 18 months. the little one died on Friday last, and the funeral occurred on Saturday. Rev. J.G. Whitford conducted the services, which were attended by a large number of mourning friends and relatives. The afflicted parents have the sympathy of all.

We wish to return our heartfelt thanks to the many friends who aided us during the sickness of our little one, and the sympathy tendered us in burying our dead.

Note: his name likely was Clarence. The 1885 IA State census enumerates a 1 y/o son in the household of David & Eliza Lowe
