Leo A. Moser, 68, died at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, 1983 at Guttenberg Municipal Hospital.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home and were conducted by the Rev. Wayne Wasta, pastor of the United Methodist Church. Burial was in the Bethel Cemetery near Osterdock with the following pallbearers: Dick and Bill Zittergruen, Kevin and Terry Leliefeld, Kevin and Robert Schroeder.
Leo Arnold Moser was born at Osterdock Dec. 28, 1914, a son of Clem Carson and Elsie Pearl (Hansel) Moser. In his early life he drove a road grader for Clayton County. Later he was in the garage business with his father at Garber, then operated gas stations at Garnavillo and Guttenberg. In 1971 he purchased the Waterman store at Elkport, which he operated until 1977 when ill health forced him to enter the care center at Guttenberg, where he resided until his death.
He is survived by four children, Dee, Maylo, Steve and Lynn; two sisters, Mrs. Maloy (Selma) Zittergruen of Garber and Mrs. Bernard (Bernita) Leliefeld of Guttenberg; 13 nieces and nephews and eight grand-nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents, one sister, Mrs. Robert (Delorres) Lewin and one brother, Delbert.
