Funeral services were held last week Tuesday for Gilbert T. Kjosa at the Otto Kjosa home in Farmersburg, at 2:30 p.m., and at the Norway church at 3:00 p.m., with burial in Norway cemetery. The services were conducted by the Rev. Haugstul.
Gilbert Thoveson Kjosa was born May 15, 1882, on a farm in Wagner township, where he lived until the year 1925, at which time he moved, with his parents, to Farmersburg, which has been his home for the following ten years. He passed away at the Oscar Torkelson home, west of Farmersburg, on the 11th day of June, 1938, where he had spent the last three years. He reached the age of 56 years and 26 days.
He was baptized and confirmed in the Norway Lutheran church, of which he has always been a loyal and faithful member. His Parents were Thov and Gunhild Thoveson, who, together with three brothers, Thove, Ole and Theodore, and one sister, Teolene, preceded him in death.
He is survived by two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Gurina Kjosa of Gunder, and Mrs. Laura Thoveson of Valley City, N.D. Seven nephews and three nieces, and numerous cousins and other relatives and friends survive.
