Hill, James died 1869

Mr. James Hill, who resided on the old Griswold place, near town, met with a serious accident by the running away of his team while hauling a load of flour to the river which resulted In his death.

He was injured somehow in his head, which threw him into a serious fever and which proved fatal. He was 53 years of age, and a man much respected by those who knew him.

He died Sunday morning last, January 3, 1869, leaving a large family to mourn his untimely death.
