Died in Yankee Settlement, on Sunday May 24th, 1863, of Typhoid Diphtheria, Inez Amelia, only child of Abner W. and Maryetta Smith, aged 16 years.

Lovely and accomplished in life, and in death happy. A very interesting funeral discourse by Rev. Joy Bishop, of Strawberry Point from Romans 14th, 7th & 8th.
