SERVICES HELD FOR NATIVE
_______Burial services were held here for last Friday for Katherine Adeline Stoecker, 81, native of Ceres and member of a well-known early day family here. Miss Stoecker died at Mason City on June 18.
The body was accompanied here by her brother, Fred Stoecker of Pierre, South Dakota, and Mrs. Stoecker.
Born July 22, 1875, at Ceres, Miss Stoecker was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Stoecker. She and her sister, Lillian, operated a dressmaking shop here in a building located on the River bank across from the building now housing the Corner café.
Surviving Miss Stoecker are two brothers, John George Stoecker of Northwood, and Fred Stoecker of Pierre, South Dakota, and one sister, Mrs. Paul Norby of Brandon, South Dakota.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Albert Stoecker, and three sisters, Mrs. George Greenwaldt, Mrs. Herman Backhaus and Mrs. Gottlieb Mueller.
