Died on Tuesday, the 11th of July, George B., infant son of E. G. and Susannah Rolf, aged seven months and three days.

One tender bud of thy fond care,

By death’s chill hand is slain,

And taken from thy fireside, ne’er

To bloom on earth again;

But in the blessed clime of Heaven,

It lasting fragrance gives;

Yes far beyond the star of even

They little George B. lives!

Let Hope’s reviving radiance cheer

The darkness of thy heart;

Let Faith’s hand gently wipe away,

The tear-drops as they start;

To bind thee now to world on high,

A holy tie is given-

A gem was taken from thy heart,

And sparkles now in Heaven.
