William Lyons

Died at Waukon, Allamakee county, on the 18th of September, William, son of E.B. and Harriet Lyons, aged 14 years and 7 months.

The deceased was a boy of much promise, giving evidence of a superior mind and possessing many noble qualities, which endeared him to all who became acquainted with him. To his companions and Teacher in the Sabbath School he was strongly attached; and those who knew him well speak highly of his amiable disposition.

He suffered much during an illness of twelve weeks, and a short time before his death expressed a wish to depart and be at rest.

His mourning friends have reason to hope that his death was but a pleasant removal to a happier state of being, and find precious comfort in such hope.
