Same paper, date, and earlier in the same article.

Vallie Kramer, 55, well known Cox Creek farmer, living near Mederville, committed suicide early Sunday morning, hanging himself in the granary on his farm. His lifeless body was found about five o'clock in the morning by his son Alfred.

Mr. Kramer had had some melancholy spells in the past, according to our information, due to financial worries and it is supposed that he took his life during one of these spells for he complained during the night that he could not sleep.

Coroner W. J. Beerman, of Guttenberg, was called in on the case and the verdict of the coroner's jury was that Mr. Kramer had taken his own life. The news of this deed has cast deep gloom in the Kramer vicinity, where he was best known for his cheerful disposition. The obituary, as read at the services which were held at the Congregational church Tuesday afternoon, follows.
