Waterloo Daily Courier, Fri., 13 June 1951.

Strawberry Point- Mrs. Elizabeth Hesner, widow of the late John Hesner, at her home in Strawberry Point Wednesday; leaves two daughters, Mrs. Fred Jessen, of Manchester, and Mrs. W. H. Arnold, of Strawberry Point; one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter; one sister, Mrs. Florence Ryan, Manchester; husband died Apr. 5, 1941; resident of Strawberry Point for over 50 years; celebrated 64rd anniversary in 1940; Mrs. Hesner continued to maintain her own home up to her last illness, was always alert and a keen observer of present day changes and world affairs; funeral from the family residence at 3 p.m. Saturday; Gill funeral home in charge of arrangements.

Her death notice in this paper gives her maiden name as Barr, and notes burial was in Strawberry Point Cemetery.
