ELMER W. ALLYN
Garnavillo – SPECIAL:

The funeral of Elmer W. Allyn, 37, was held here Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at St. Peter's Lutheran Church with the Rev. H. H. Steege, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Garnavillo Cemetery.

Mr. Allyn died late Saturday night at Finley Hospital in Dubuque of lockjaw. He accidentally punctured his hand several week ago with a nail and lockjaw developed.

He was born Nov. 16, 1905 on a farm just northwest of Garnavillo, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Allyn. Following his graduation from the local high school, he studied electrical engineering at Iowa State University and for the next three and one-half years was employed in Chicago. He then returned to Garnavillo.

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Anna Allyn of this vicinity; two sisters Margaret of Dubuque and Mrs. Florence Meyer of Garnavillo; and two brother, William in the Navy and Lawrence of Garnavillo.
