Strawberry Point- Will Jessen, 78, died Saturday in a Cedar Rapids hospital. Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Lutheran church. Burial will be in Strawberry Point Cemetery.

Strawberry Point- Funeral services for Will Jessen, 78, were here Tuesday; died at St. Luke's hospital in Cedar Rapids Saturday night after a brief illness; born in Strawberry Point on Aug. 1, 1871, the son of John Jessen and Agnes Marquardt Jessen, and spent his entire life in this vicinity; farmed for a short time and later operated a grocery store in Strawberry Point; for a time he operated the store by himself and then he was associated with his brother, Jess, in the same business; member of the Modern Woodmen of America and of the Lutheran church; married Minnie Blake Nov. 26, 1923, at Strawberry Point; leaves widow; two brothers, Jess, Strawberry Point, and Fred, Manchester; one sister, Mrs. Agnes Johannes, Miami, Fla.
