McGregor- A 19-year-old McGregor youth was injured fatally Sunday when his car went out of control and crashed into the entrance of a Catholic church.

The victim, Raymond Boyle, son of Elliot Boyle, failed to make a turn and ran up seven steps before it struck the church doors. The youth died shortly afterwards at the McGregor hospital.

Boyle's death was the first traffic fatality reported in the state in the new year.

In addition to his father the youth is survived by his grandmother, Mrs. Anna Boyle, with whom he had lived. He was employed by the Decorated Metals Company at Prairie du Chien, Wis.
