Iowa Deaths:

Elkader- Peter Klink, 75, pioneer resident of Elkader, died Sunday. Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Evangelical church.

Funeral services for Peter H. Klink were held from the Witt Funeral chapel at 1:30 o'clock Wednesday, May 24, to the Peace Evangelical and Reformed church at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Paul Kitterer officiated. Burial was in the East Side cemetery.

Peter H. Klink, son of Henry and Walberg Brandenburg Klink, was born at Communia, Iowa, Dec. 25, 1875.

Mr. Klink had the misfortune to fall about four years ago and break his hip. Since that time he has been confined more or less to his home and had been cared for by his daughter, Mrs. Bernard Hahn. Last February he began to fail in health and a week ago was taken to the Larson nursing home in St. Olaf. where he died Sunday morning, May 21, 1950. He had reached the age of 74 years, 4 months and 26 days. He received his education in the school near his home. On June 06, 1899 at Elkport, Iowa, he was married to Minnie Miller. They went to housekeeping at Communia, where he was buttermaker for six years. When they moved to Chicago he worked at the electrical trade. Later they returned to Communia where he engaged in farming until 1922 when they moved to Elkader. In 1928 they returned to Chicago where he helped his sons in a drug store. Since 1940 he has made his home in Elkader.

He was a member of the Peace Evangelical and Reformed church, Elkader, also of the Modern Woodman of America.

Surviving are a daughter and two sons, Mrs. Bernard (Marion A.) Hahn, Elkader, Irving P. Klink of Arlington Heights, Ill., Vallie R. Klink of Englewood, Colo., also two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Greve, Littleport, Mrs. Emma Hildebrandt, Edgewood, and one brother Henry Klink of Elkport, and seven grandchildren.

His wife preceded him in death in 1948.

Pallbearers were George Bente, Henry Matt, Milton Monlux, Frank Bente, Carl Roeder, and Arthur Hochhaus.

People from a distance who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. V. R. Klink, Englewood, Colo.; Mr. Irvin P. Klink, Chicago; Henry Miller, Omaha, Nebr.; John W. Miller, Chicago; R___ D. Jones, Chicago; Mrs. Margaret Miller, Le_onier, Ind.; Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Thein, California; and Mr. and Mrs. E____ Klink, Belle Plaine.
