Iowa Deaths- Services for Henry Munger, 64, who died in Milwaukee Monday, were held Thursday. Burial was in East Side Cemetery.

Clayton County Register, 29 June 1950.

The body of Henry K. Munger, 64, of Milwaukee, a former resident of Elkader, was returned here Tuesday, June 27. Services were held from the Witt funeral chapel at 1:30 Thursday afternoon. The Rev. H. G. Kelly officiated. Burial was in the East Side cemetery. Mr. Munger died at Milwaukee Monday, June 26.

Mrs. Ray Jacobia received a message last week of the death of her brother, Henry Munger, of Milwaukee.

Henry Knight Munger, son of Milo E. and the late Sophia Munger, was born September 19, 1885, in Elkader, and died June 26, 1950, in Milwaukee at the age of 64 years after an illness of over a year.

His mother preceded him in death in April of 1937.

He attended the Elkader public school and later learned the barber trade.

About 1906 he went to Milwaukee where he was united in marriage with Miss Pauline Casper. His home has been in or near Milwaukee since.

Survivors are his daughter, Margaret, son-in-law Dr. M. Malensek, and two grandsons, Richard and John of Milwaukee. His aged father, Milo E. Munger of Postville; two brothers, Frank of Nora Springs; Vern of Baltimore, Md.; and one sister, Florence, Mrs. Ray Jacobia pf Postville, also several nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held Thursday afternoon at Witt's chapel in Elkader with the Rev. Herbert G. Kelly officiating. Burial was in the East Side cemetery.

Pall bearers were Don Munger, Chas. Hinsch, Milo Jacobia, Harold Christofferson, Henry Wolf and William Witt.
