Elkader- Richard A. "Shorty" Hoell, 50, died Monday afternoon in Central Community Hospital after a long illness. Services: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Leonard-Witt Funeral Home, where friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to service time Wednesday. Burial: East Side Cemetery.

Survivors include three daughters, two sons; a brother, Donald of Dubuque; and two sisters, Rose Abresch of Dubuque and Geraldine Hoell of Charleston, S.C.
