Guttenberg- Louis J. Bockenstedt, 66, died Tuesday evening at Mercy Health Center, Dubuque. He recently retired from John Deere Co., Dubuque, after 3_ years of service.

Surviving are his wife, Kathleen; three daughters, Ann Ostry and Janet Bockenstedt, both of Blaine, Minn., and Lois Bockenstedt of Ames; three sons, Gene, Duane and Roger, all of Guttenberg; three brothers, Joe of New Vienna, Paul of Strawberry Point, and Henry of Guttenberg; a sister, Esther Schmelzer of Garnavillo; and nine grandchildren.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday, St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call 2 to 9 p.m. today at Tuecke-Allyn's, where a wake service will be held at 8 tonight.
