Strawberry Point- Rita Maxie Adams, 80, of Strawberry Point, died Tuesday, May 27, 2003, in her home after a brief battle with cancer. Services: 10 a.m. Friday, St. Mary's Catholic Church, by Father Jack Paisley. Burial: Strawberry Point Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Roberson Funeral Home, Strawberry Point, with a vigil service at 4 p.m. and rosary at 7:30 p.m.

Survivors include two sons, David R. (Elizabeth) and Larry K. (Carol) Adams, both of Cedar Rapids; two daughters, Kandis K. Childs (Dennis) of Cedar Rapids and Kathy A. Kamoss (Steve) of Lamont; a sister, Mary Lou Behning of North Liberty; a brother, Vincent Dalen of Platteville, Wis.; 16 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

Rita was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed.
