Garnavillo- Frances "Abe" E. Strahl, 55, died Thursday morning in the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital after a brief illness. Services: 2 p.m. Saturday, St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Garnavillo. Burial: Guttenberg City Cemetery, Guttenberg. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg.

Survivors include his wife, Jean; a son, Jeff of Red Wing, Minn.; two daughters, Robin Scott and Becky Strahl, both of Garnavillo; his mother, Alice of Gothan, Wis.; two brothers, Pearley of Preston, Minn., and David of Spring Green, Wis.; and four sisters, Karon Johnson of Cedar Rapids, Sharon Williams and Edith McBain, both of Gothan, Wis., and Sue Liegel of Madison, Wis.
