Luana- Martin N. Eilers, a resident of the Luana area, died Friday at McAllen General Hospital, McAllen, Tex. Eilers, 69, a retired Luana area farmer, was spending the winter in Texas.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Guttenberg, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Guttenberg. Friends may call at the Witt Funeral Home, Elkader.

Surviving are his wife, Rubye, Luana; two sons, Dennis of Lansdale, Pa., and Gerald of Davenport; five daughters, Mrs. Robert (Margie) Streit and Mrs. James (Karen) Orr, both of Davenport; Mrs. Steve (Betty) Gysendorfer of Pottskamp, Miss.; Mrs. Janarius (Eileen) Tschirgi of Elkader and Anita Eilers of Luana; three brothers, Alois of Marshfield, Wis., Leo of Dyersville and Serenus of Marquette; and seven grandchildren.
