J.D. Inger, veterinary surgeon, died Sunday forenoon at his home in this city, and the funeral will be held Wednesday from the residence.
Mr. Inger has enjoyed a good business in his profession in and about Waverly for the past twenty years or more and for the past several years has held the position of assistant state veterinary surgeon.
Mr. Inger was born at Birmingham, England, Feb. 15, 1847, and came to this country with his parents when but nine months old.
He served two years in the civil war and the G.A.R. here will have charge of the funeral. He was a member of the Masonic fraternigy and also of the Woodmen and Workmen. The Masonic lodge will attend in a body and act as escort at the funeral.

The family of J.F. Webb were called to Waverly Tuesday to attend the funeral of Mrs. Webb's brother, J.D. Inger.

~Notes: He was the son of John Inger and Lucy Dawson, who are buried in the Strawberry Point cemetery. He served in Co. B, 1st IA Cav. and burial is in the Harlington cemetery, Washington twp., Bremer co. (Waverly).
