Garnavillo- Gerard "Gerry" F. Henkels, 24, died Friday morning at University Hospitals in Iowa City following a lengthy illness.

Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Henkels of Garnavillo; three brothers, Jack, Don and Frank, all at home; and three sisters, Rose, Anne and Joan, all at home.

Services: Monday, noon, St. Joseph's Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 tonight and after 9 a.m. Sunday at Tuecke-Allyn's, where a rosary will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday.
