Your correspondent announces with regret the death of Mr. Reed who died at his home in this township on Saturday, April 2nd, of paralysis.

He leaves a wife in poor health and one daughter to mourn the loss of a kind and affectionate husband and father.

An only son died in the army. Mr. Reed kept the Farmersburg Post Office for many years, and was well and favorably known to a large circle of friends and neighbors.

Note: burial is in Giard cemetery, where his name & dates are recorded as: William Reed, died April 2, 1887, age 67 years.
