Died, Mr. James Walters, at his home in Mallory township, Tuesday, March 29th, 1887, at 1 o'clock a.m. of pneumonia. Mr. Walters was a young man over thirty years of age and was highly esteemed by all who knew him.
The funeral services were conducted at the Studebaker school house Wednesday by Rev. Beekley and Strother Hansel. The remains were interred in the Hansel cemetery. A large crowd followed his remains to their last resting place.
He leaves a wife and two children to mourn the loss of a beloved husband and father. The entire community sympathizes deeply with the bereaved family.
