Garnavillo- Walter C. Bacon, 77, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 1996, in Guttenberg Municipal Hospital after a short illness. Services: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, St. Paul Lutheran Church, by the Rev. Gary Hatcher. Burial: Garnavillo City Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Garnavillo.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda; two daughters, Dianne Torrey of Cedar Rapids and Marion Champion of Lufkin, Texas; three sons, David and Wayne, both of Garnavillo, and Marlyn of Winthrop; and three brothers, Louis of Ryan, Kenneth of Delhi and Donald of Manchester.
