Strawberry Point- LaVerne Gene Keppler, 47, died Sunday, Sept. 17, 1995, in Central Community Hospital, Elkader, after a sudden illness. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, St. Mary's Catholic Church, by the Rev. Dennis Juhl. Burial: Strawberry Point. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Roberson Funeral Home, where a Scripture service begins at 7:30 p.m.
Survivors include his wife, Jayne Miller Keppler; a daughter, Amber, and a son, Justin, both at home.
Also surviving are his stepmother, Anita Keppler of Strawberry Point; three sisters, Shirley Cisna of Appleton, Wis., Janet (Mrs. Tom) Thompson of Rockwell and Mary (Mrs. Tom) Weber of Volga: six brothers, Robert and wife Diane of Arlington, Thomas and wife Jane and Daniel and wife Nancy, both of Strawberry Point, Charles and wife Ruth of Fayette, Mark and wife Betty of Elkader, and Terry of Verona, Wis.; many nieces and nephews; three stepsisters, Shirley McCauley of Scottsdale, Ariz., Mary Jane Keppler of Strawberry Point and Betty Sands of Bettendorf; and a stepbrother, Jim Cunningham of Tempe, Ariz.
