Garber- LaVern E. Lewin, 67, carpenter, died Wednesday evening at Mercy Health Center, Dubuque.

Surviving are his wife, Janice; two sons, Nick of Anamosa and Rick of Cedar Rapids; two daughters, Jorja Moore of Dubuque and Lori Lewin of Vinton; five sisters, Violet Nelson of Edgewood, Irene Nelson of Guttenberg, Luva Chettinger of Garber, Evelyn Corson of Le Claire, and Betty Thein of Cedar Rapids; and six grandchildren.

Services: 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Leonard-Witt's where friends may call after 2 p.m. today. Burial: Hansel Cemetery, rural Garber, with military rites.
