Guttenberg- LaVern Patzner, 69, of Hemet, Calif., formerly of Guttenberg, died Thursday, Dec. 12, 1996, in Manor Care Center, Hemet, after a long illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg, where friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Paul Peters will officiate. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery, Guttenberg.
Survivors include his wife, Mardi; three daughters, Dayna Patzner of Nashville, Tenn., Marcella Rempt of Las Vegas and Rhonda Stubbe of Prairie du Chien, Wis.; three sons, Darren of Prairie du Chien, Wis., Steve of Garnavillo and Randy of Marquette; a sister, Virginia Schmidt of Guttenberg; and four brothers, DuWayne of Hazel Green, Wis., Robert of Council Bluffs, Delos of Boone and Chuck of Branson, Mo.

LaVern Patzner
Services for LaVern Patzner, 69, of Hemet, Calif., formerly of Guttenberg, will be conducted by Rev. Paul Peters at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, at the Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg.
Mr. Patzner died Thursday, Dec. 12, 1996, at the Manor Care Center in Hemet.
Visitation held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial was in Mt. Olivet cemetery, with the following casket bearers: Dennis Fuller, Deloz Patzner, Don Schmitt, Bob Kuchenbecker, Robert Patzner and Tim Schmitt.
LaVern Patzner was born May 9, 1927, on the family farm near Guttenberg, a son of Charles and Hilda (Althaus) Patzner.
Surviving are his wife, Mardie of Hemet; three daughters, Mrs. Marcella Rempt of Las Vegas, Nev., Mrs. Rhonda (Matt) Stubbe of Prairie du Chien, Wis., and Dayna Patzner of Smyrna, Tenn., three sons, Steve (Janice) Patzner of Garnavillo, Randy Patzner of Marquette and Darren (Sarah) Patzner of Prairie du Chien; seven grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Virginia (Don) Schmitt of Guttenberg; and four brothers, DuWayne (Grace) Patzner of Hazel Green, Wis., Robert (Rosemarie) Patzner of Council Bluffs, Delos (Jennie) Patzner of Boone, and Chuck Patzner of Branson, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

LAVERN PATZNER
Lavern August Patzner, 68, died Dec. 12 of pneumonia at Manor Care Nursing Center in Hemet. Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery in Guttenberg, Iowa. Miller-Jones Mortuary in Hemet is handling arrangements.
Mr. Patzner, who was born in Guttenberg, Iowa, lived in Hemet for seven years. He was a route carrier for the The Press-Enterprise in Riverside for 10 years. He enjoyed traveling, playing cards, fishing and animals.
He is survived by his wife, Mardie; three daughters, Marcella of Las Vegas, Nev., Rhonda Steuben of Prairie Du Chien, Wis. and Dana of La Cross, Wis.; three sons, Steve of Guttenberg, Iowa and Darren and Randy, both of Prairie Du Chien; many grandchildren; a sister, Virginia of Guttenberg; and four brothers, Charles, Delas, Duane and Robert, all of Wisconsin.
