Nus, Leopold died 1883

Leopold Nus, a former resident of Elkader, died in Colorado, on Dec. 22nd [1883], and his remains were brought to Clayton county, and interred in the cemetery at St. Sebald, on the 27th. He was about 40 years of age, and leaves a wife and four children.

During his residence in Elkader he taught the German department of our public schools and afterwards ran a drug store at Volga City.
