Guttenberg- John B. Mahowald, 93, died Saturday morning in Guttenberg Municipal Hospital following a brief illness.

Survivors include three daughters, Adele Parker and Peppy Mahowald, both of Guttenberg, and Betty Jane Garaghty of Elkader; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday at Tuecke-Allyn's, where a wake service will be held at 8 p.m.
